Ann & Robert H. Lurie Children’s Hospital of Chicago Joins the Consortium for Technology & Innovation in Pediatrics (CTIP)

LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA - February 6, 2023 The West Coast Consortium for Technology & Innovation in Pediatrics (CTIP) is pleased to welcome Ann & Robert H. Lurie Children’s Hospital of Chicago into the consortium. CTIP Director and Principal Investigator Juan Espinoza, MD, recently became the inaugural Chief Research Informatics Officer for Stanley Manne Children’s Research Institute and Associate Director of the Center for Biomedical Informatics and Data Science at Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine. In this new role, he will direction-set for the research institute’s Quantitative Science pillar, providing expertise and strategic guidance of research informatics and analytics as applied to basic, translational, clinical, and population health sciences. Dr. Espinoza will continue to serve as Director and PI of CTIP. 

“We are really excited about the opportunity to expand into the Midwest, support new innovators, and connect with the resources and networks here to help advance pediatric medical devices,” said Dr. Espinoza. “Lurie Children’s and Manne Research Institute are committed to healthcare innovation, and this new partnership strengthens our consortium and helps us build a new Chicago-based hub to live up to our mission: improve pediatric health through technologies.”
