How We Help

We invest resources, time and expertise into advancing pediatric medical device innovations forward on the path from concept to commercialization.

How CTIP Supports Pediatric MedTech Innovators

DIRECT SUPPORT

  • CTIP invests non-dilutive grant funds directly in pediatric medical device projects through our annual Catalyzing Pediatric Innovation (CPI) grant competition
  • CPI grants require a separate application and winners are selected via a step-wise process
  • All grant application materials, rules, and timeline are posted on our website
  • Companies that receive indirect support are still eligible for the CPI grant

CTIP SUPPORT EXCLUDES

  • Salaries, rent, or equipment purchases (except through the CPI grant competition)
  • Legal fees, patent filing or other IP-related fees
  • FDA submission fees

CTIP does not control purchasing decisions or the implementation of pilot programs at Children’s Hospital Los Angeles or our partner institutions. If you are looking for customers among the consortium member institutions, we can direct you to the appropriate channels.
